Course of Action
First American Boot Camp lasts between 9 and 12 months and involves several specialized training rotations:
Teller
The teller window is the frontline of the bank and the first step in your training. In this rotation you will learn the basics of customer transactions, refer customers to other departments within the bank, vault management, ATM cash-flow and much more.
Personal Banking
In this rotation you will develop a thorough command of bank products and the ability to target those products to fit the needs of your customers. You will learn how to evaluate customer accounts and make sound financial decisions. You will also be introduced to some basic elements of branch management.
Customer Service
This stage of your training will be completed in First American Bank's Call Center. You will service customers over the phone and resolve any inquiries or disputes presented to you. This will be an excellent opportunity to develop your communication skills and gain the confidence to approach a multitude of banking issues. You will also strengthen your familiarity with FAB computer systems and increase the ability to navigate your resources.
Loans
This rotation will introduce you to the basics of consumer loans and how to match our products to the lending needs of our customers. You will learn what steps are involved in the loan process and how to guide our customers through these steps. At the end of this stage, you will be able to answer loan questions and take applications, service our existing loan customers, and identify those customers that would benefit from our loan products.
When you have successfully graduated from Boot Camp, you will be interviewed and selected for one of the many areas of our bank such as our Branches, Commercial Lending, Wealth Management, Human Resources, Information Services, and more.
