Separately Managed Accounts

For clients with substantial assets to invest, we offer the Separately Managed Accounts Program:

  • We select Institutional Asset Managers to provide their expertise in managing style-specific investment portfolios of individual securities.
  • These independent money managers are chosen on the basis of criteria overseen by the First American investment professionals.
  • Typically, these managers would only be available to the very largest individual and institutional investors. We are, however, able to access their expertise for accounts that meet certain minimum investment criteria.
  • The Separately Managed Accounts Program brings world class institutional asset managers to your portfolio at the same cost as most proprietary asset management programs.

Portfolios of individual securities in all asset classes and investment styles are managed by either First American Bank or a third party institutional money manager.

 

 

Equity Investments

First American manages portfolios of large and intermediate capitalization stocks using a "core equity" style that combines both growth and value stocks.

  • Stock selection is based on fundamental analysis conducted by our research analysts using a variety of databases and Wall Street research. 
  • Portfolios are diversified across economic sectors and industry groups and actively managed in terms of both sector weights and stock selection. 
      

Fixed Income Investments

In keeping with our comprehensive approach, First American also manages portfolios of individual bonds, which can be either taxable or tax exempt depending on your needs.

  • Bond portfolios can be structured to meet income goals or cash flow needs.
  • Bonds are also an important addition to investment portfolios for purposes of reducing overall volatility and enhancing risk adjusted returns.
