Southport Bank was a nice hometown bank that cared about their customers. First American is a Chicago based, greed driven, heartless institution. Though many of the people at this branch are good people from the Southport era, it makes no difference as they are powerless. Long story short - they illegally breached a business mortgage contract and then deviously created a ruse in which it seemed they were making amends while knowing full well increased interest rates would net them additional revenues illegally. After considering legal action, I decided to just move on since my loses were less than 2K. And now, after over 17 years with only one late mortgage payment at the beginning of COVID, they refused to forgive an accidental late fee. A payment which was only one day late. My point is that this bank is all about greed and unforgiving!

We opened up a few accounts and couldn't be happier. We were greeted on entry and we worked with Terri. She is so nice to work with offering us suggestions that worked perfect. When we left we felt very satisfied with our choice to move to this bank.

Apathetic bank. My family and I had been banking with Southport bank for many years. There were times when we found ourselves struggling and found we had over drafted. We tried to cover the fees as soon as we discovered the problem. Sometimes it was hard to predict when bills would go through. Southport reached out to us. They said they waived any overdraft fees and called us in for a meeting. They gave us a no-interest loan to help us get back on our feet. I miss that, the compassion. First American came around and everything changed. The tellers are still super nice but the bank doesn't care about anything but money. Even with a good history with them and the interest they make holding your money, they take a loss and dump you. I found myself becoming homeless and told them that in a reply email. I received no reply and instead could no longer log into my account. Remember, banks hold your money and make money from it. You would think they might have some compassion when you fall on hard times. Not First American Bank, that's for sure.

All 3 of their Kenosha locations have the friendliest most helpful staff you could ask for. Always going above and beyond. Great at providing alternative solutions too.

Called them to change my payment date. The rep said she would send out the document via email within 15 minutes of the call, i didn’t receive anything all day. This is actually my third attempt in trying to make that change with no resolution

I have been with them since they were Southport Bank, they always seemed to care about us and when times were tough even offered a loan. Since they were taken over by First American Bank they now post against carrying a firearm, hopefully potential bank robbers will obey. I recently had some issues with my newer account and they were helpful in getting the problem fixed.

Kenosha Metal Products has used "Big Banks" in the past. Very sterile treatment. Very happy with Southport Bank. I thought that the personal relationship in commercial banking was a thing of the past. Southport proved me wrong. Very happy!

Horrible bank. Backstabbing greedy bastards These folks are there to make money and watch people fail. Ask anyone that has had any loans with them. Use the larger banks. If you bank there or have loans there...run. Its not worth it.

Sucks, never open when I need it, and its been over two months since I requested a debit card as well as re-contacted them about it and I have been to the bank on multiple accounts and have yet to even recieve word about it
