Érica was horribly rude and refused to return my $47 upon account closure, I told her that I needed it to pay my electric bill so my pipes don’t freeze and she was verbally aggressive and refused to give it back

My auto loan was purchased by First American Bank. Since then I’ve had nothing but complete frustration trying to GIVE them money. I made a &1000 dollar principle payment that they ate up with FEES !! I CANNOT make payments early (as I usually do) as their website will not allow this. I went to their branch last month to find out why this is and was met with MORE FEES If they take the payment at the branch !! I’m about to turn in the car and get another one! I’m afraid if I trade it on or refi they’ll hit me with more fees !! DO NOT GET A AUTO LOAN FROM FIRST AMERICAN BANK !! Go to Fat Lenny the loan shark (he’s hella cheaper then them !! )

I would give ten Stars if possible 😄 I just moved to the area, and went into the Buffalo Grove branch today at 4:50 pm to discuss details on my account I opened in Glen Ellyn and for a notary. To my amazement everyone was so accommodating (which I didn't fully expect considering the time). Matt managed to answer all my questions and have a solution for me in short order. While Matt worked on looking into details of why my original account was closed, I was able to get my docs notorized. I was out of there within 20 minutes.I have to say in the day of customer service being non existent, this branch is a reminder of what customer service should be!

Everyone at this bank are wonderful and very patient. Will not make you feel dumb when it’s a simple thing you need to know. I have been banking at this bank 1st American bank in Buffalo grove for over 30 years

Their new "practice" of not offering a balance when you withdraw $ is shameful. You have to pay $2 service fee to obtain a balance. Prior is used to be automatically on your w/draw statement. A heck of a way to earn some extra $!!!!!

Dawn and the whole team is amazing. This branch is fast, efficient at opening accounts and they're very on top of what you ask of them. They're offering the highest APY on saving accounts in the area (2%) right now, which is great. They also accept coins without a fee, which is a plus.
