First American Bank Awarded Business Partner of the Year by Kenosha’s YMCA

KENOSHA — December 2021: First American Bank is proud to receive the 2021 Business Partner of the Year award given by Kenosha’s YMCA, which recognizes organizations that have enabled the YMCA to fulfill its mission of empowering young people to find and share their voice. First American Bank has worked closely with the YMCA for many years and remains committed to helping the organization advance its core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

“Since the Kenosha YMCA became a First American Bank customer in 2009, we have proudly supported this incredible organization through sponsorships, grant assistance, and specialized business banking expertise,” said Thomas Wells, CEO and Chairman of First American Bank.

The bank assisted the Kenosha YMCA with refinancing its current building — the Callahan Family YMCA — while also providing financing to upgrade their Robert M. & June M. Kueny Aquatic Center utilizing a sophisticated tax-exempt structure. In addition, the bank has helped the YMCA to survive the pandemic by facilitating both rounds of the Paycheck Protection Program, and remains an annual sponsor of several YMCA programs that encourage youth civic engagement and retention.
