Back during the 2008 financial breakdown I decided to move my funds from a large corporate bank. I found a home in First American and have never looked back. Everyone I've dealt with has been warm. down-to-earth, and professional.

They are professional and knowledgeable and quick to respond and offer advice and help in any situation I have. My family has banked there for decades and I highly recommend them whenever I can.

First Am Bank is great. Why? The personnel are wonderful, especially the manager and my personal banker, John. They are all really helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. Also, they provide services that some banks don't. For example, counting change, providing medallion signatures, accepting license plate renewals and real estate taxes, and sending out paper statements. All very much appreciated.

12/02/2022 UPDATE. Once again, need to give a shout out to a bank that gives great customer service! I needed a gold medallion stamp for some paperwork. Was being lazy and called a bank that is literally a minute away from me to see if they could help. Not only did I have to call back after being disconnected and pushing buttons to get there, no one ever picked up the phone! So I called my First American Bank in Carpentersville, not only did it get answered by a human on the first ring, but it was a cheerful, helpful person as well. I was promptly transferred to the Manager Michelle, Who was able to set me up with an appointment to fit my schedule, and once there, give outstanding service yet again. Because I bank there I was not charged for the gold medallion stamp either! I so appreciate the professionalism I always receive here, and they hire amazing staff who are always are willing to help with a courteous smile. That is why I don't bank a minute a way, I will drive 10 minutes for excellent service! Previous review: Our whole family has been with First American Bank for years. The level of service is always outstanding, professional, and courteous. Especially at this particular branch in Carpentersville. Michelle, the branch manager, went out of her way to get me in today, and professionally handled the questions I had. You always feel like a person when you are here. All the staff is very personable, and promptly address any needs you may have. Highly recommend this bank to everyone.
